This week

This Week is going to be a special and busy week. Kaylee turns 5 on tuesday the 2nd of September and I'am getting ready for her party on Saturday. It is also Labor Day and the last chance of summer weather. So, enjoy!!! But it won't be that hot because we have a storm that's moving in from the south and it will bring rain and colder weather. Too much for Labor Day camping and such? Yesterday I hosted a Pampered Chef party, and unfortunately only my mom, sister-in-law and mother-in-law showed up. We still had a great time trying out the different products and cooking a delicious pizza and chocolate truffles. Kaylee ate about 3 pieces of the pizza and told me to make this pizza as her Birthday dinner on Tuesday. So it turned out to be a great girl bonding experience. My good friend Jenny L. is a Pampered Chef consultant and she was kind enough to come and demonstrate everything for us. Then later in the day my brother came over with his wife to visit and we took some pictures of their motorcycle. They are so funny. My brother has wanted to have a motorcycle for so long and finally about 3 months ago they got one and he is so happy. We are just wooried that something might happen to them. But we cannot stop him from reaching his dreams. Anyway it was a quiet weekend. Just spending time together with the kids. Today just getting ready for church and getting the lesson ready for nursery. Today we are substituting in Bradens nursery class. I hope it goes well. Have a good Labor Day week.

Ward Campout 2008

This weekend we went camping with our ward. Our stake has a property in Morgan, UT which is about 45 minutes away from our house. It is really pretty and close enough from our house and faraway enough that if feels like camping. We got there about 5pm on Friday and setup our tent and our things and then had dinner. We later had a devotional by our bishop and went back to our camp to start a fire and to talk to our friends and family (my sister went with her family and so we had a fun time talking and telling jokes). Kaylee wasn't feeling well and she went to bed around 9:30pm. Braden had so much fun he ran around our tent in the dark and loved it, he roasted marshmallows and played with the flashlight a lot. Over all we had a blast with the kids. We slept well and woke up the next morning to eat a dutch oven breakfast provided by our ward and then decided to clean up our stuff to leave early. We headed out around 10:30am and arrived home to shower and do laundry (our clothes and everything else stunk of smoke). And then we went out to lunch with my mom, dad, and my sisters family and then went down to the Gateway.

Something To Do

I started a new hobbie. I like beads and have started to make some bracelets. I have seen some new Bead Watches that alot of ladies are wearing now days and I wanted to make one or buy one. I found some not so expensive but decided to make my own. I went to Ben Franklin Craft store and found a whole selection of beads and other items that are needed. So I bought the things I needed to make a watch. And after so many attemps I finally finished it and love the outcome. I'am thinking of maybe making more and selling them. But it's just an idea I have right now. Hopefully I can do it and have several people that can be interested.

Today was my mother-in-law's birthday. She turned 70 yrs old. She doesn't even look that age. she actually looks about 10 yrs younger. We got together and had some dinner and cake. I made the cake it turned out so good. Her favorite kind of cake is carrot cake and it was my first time making it. It turned out so yummy. I love baking and making treats and cakes. We got her a pair of pants and a blouse all fit her perfectly. We had a good time.

Breaking Dawn and twilight the Movie

Just yesterday I finished reading the Breaking Dawn. I have to say that I really liked the book and the way it was written. I think there were areas that were tastefully written and the whole book had me wanting to read more and more. It was hard to stop reading when I had other responsibilities to do, but I'am glad that I finished and now I will start reading the "Host".

For all of you that don't know the news yet, Twilight the movie will be realease 3 weeks early on Nov. 21st. I read this in Stephanie Meyers website. I'am so excited to go see this movie. It seems that the last Harry Potter movie was due to be realeased on that same date but Warner BRos. moved the realeas date for next summer, I don't know the reason why but Summit Films saw a great opportunity to move the realease date sooner on the Twilght movie.

Barnes and Noble Storytime

Monday and Tuesday we stayed home and cleaned the house and the kids played with their cousin Daniela. So today I had planned to do something fun with the kids. We don't have alot of things to do over here as oppose to Salt Lake city so I found out that the Layton Barnes and Noble does a storytime and activity on Wednesdays at 11am. So we went and since Toys R Us is right next to them we went their first to look at toys (the love to do this) and then we headed to the Bookstore. A cute girl read 2 books to the kids and then had then choose from two coloring pages to color. And then when the kids were done we stopped at Old Navy which is in the same strip mall and shopped for Braden, they have a kids special going on and they had cool clearance prices so I got him a couple of shirts, a hoodie, and some sweatpant shorts. Then we went to Artic Circle to eat some lunch and the kids continued playing in their little park. We had a good time.

Date

Today Jorge and I where able to get away for a couple of hours and have a much needed date. He wanted to go see "Dark Knight" and I agreed. It turned out to be a very cool movie and a good action film. The actors did an incredible job and it was entertaining to watch. I wasn't expecting it to be that good. But I did like it. It had me on the edge of my seat at all times. After the movie we went to eat dinner at Red Robin and talked about several things including the book that I'am currently reading "Breaking DAwn". I've been summarizing the book to Jorge and telling him the part that I'am reading now and he seems interested but thinks its gross and not right. I tell him it is not and that the way the author describes everything its tastefully done. Anyway, I tell him to start reading the series and he says "nah, I have better things to read". I guess each person has their own opinion. My parents where nice enough to take our kids with them to run some errands and to feed them dinner, so that we could have this date.

Play date with my Highschool Friends

Shayden and Braden (Zildy's boy)

Kaylee, Shayden and Jasmine

All the kids (Braden, Kaylee, Jasmine, Kendall, Shayden and Benjamin)

Susan, Zildy and Yadira
Yesterday my friends and I got together with our kids to play at the park. The kids didn't know each other so they got to know each other and they played well together. Zildy and Susan are their names and we went to high school together. Me and Zildy have known each other since Elementary school and Susan since High School. We see each other every Christmas for our annual Green elephant party but decided to get togther more often. So hopefully after yesterday's outing we can get together again soon. We couldn't talk that much yesterday because the kids wanted to swing and we had to push them and we either had to be with them cause they needed our help or they needed to go potty ect... So I hope next time around we can talk more and share more stuff. But we had fun and the kids did too.

Girl's Camp 2008

This week I went to Girls Camp. We left Thursday morning and came back Saturday late morning. We went to a campsite up Logan Canyon by the name of Guenavah. It was a beautiful camp with breathtaking scenery's. When we arrived Thursday we couldn't be in our campsite till 2:30pm so we had planned to do our Hike. We went to Tony's Grove up Logan Canyon and we did roughly 4 miles. Some of the girls complained but it was so pretty that we all forgot and kept on going. It took us about 4 hours to go up and down the trail. After the hike Jeanie the camp director took all of us to eat ice cream at Aggie Ice Cream in the Utah State Campus. And then we headed up the canyon again to set up our tents. The second day we made a craft of Bead Bracelets. We had fun making these bracelets. However the leaders became a little too obsessed making these that we ended up with about 4-6 bracelets each. Each time the girls came over to see what we were doing they would say "You've got to be kidding me?" That night we had the Bishop and his wife come and the 1st counselor and our young women's 1st counselor came up with her husband and cooked a yummy dutch oven dinner of Enchiladas, peach cobbler and Black Forest cake. It was so good. After dinner we had the Testimony meeting and we all bore our testimonies and cried and felt uplifted by the Holy Ghost. It was such a nice experience to bond with the girls and the leaders. We have such a good group of girls that I'm so proud of them and I love them even more now.
