Ward Easter Egg hunt!

Last saturday we had the Ward Easter Egg Hunt. We have a park in our subdivision and they held the egg hunt there. The kids played several games and after everyone was done playing, we had the awaited egg hunt. They divided the kids into age groups and had 3 different places with eggs and so they kids had a great chance to get tons of eggs. It was a beautiful sunny day but very windy and chilly.

Albertson's Fieldtrip

This week has been one of lots of adventures and fieldtrips. Today our Music Maker group arranged for the kids to go to a fieldtrip to Albertsons Grocery store. There they learned about eating healthy and learning of the foods they can eat always and the foods they can eat sometimes. It was very educational and they even got treats and gifts. They each got a recycled grocery bag and bottled water, and coupons. It was indeed very fun and something different for them to enjoy.

Syracuse Fire Station

Today the kids got invited to go see the new firestation that Syracuse built. We had a tour and the kids got to see the firemen sleeping quarters, kitchen, offices, and most important the FIREENGINES. They were very nice to the kids and the kids had tons of fun looking inside these huge trucks. We got some pictures of the place. I thought they are well taken care off. They had all leather furniture, huge lazybones for each one with huge flat screen TV. And their bedrooms were small but very nice with a flat screen mounted on the wall and everything was wood. I guess that's were our city taxes are invested in. Very nice place and friendly firemen.

Spring Cleaning!

Last thursday I started to clean the kids bedrooms. They looked way too cluttered with all the toys they have. So I sat down with each of them and sorted out the things they wanted to give and the things they wanted to keep. About 3 hours later we were done and the rooms looked cleaner and less clutter. I took out 1 bag to the D.I. and one bag to Kid to kid, plus 1 bag of trash. I also got rid of some slides that were too small for the kids and sold them to kid to kid. We are planning on getting a swing set for the kids this spring. Kaylee wanted to take some pictures of her organized room and the way I organized her dolls, so here they are.

Well, we Did It!!

we got a new car!!! We have been shopping around for about a month now at the best deals out there. And we actually wanted an SUV with minimum miles and a 2007, 2008 model. But couldn't find one that could be affordable and within our budget amount. Today we drove to salt lake city and had some lunch at Z Tejas in the Gateway, the food was so good. And then we started driving down state street, there are lots and lots of dealers down state and we stopped at Hinckley Dodge and found a great deal, so we weren't looking for a van. I was very against vans, but they had a Grand Caravan new body style, 2008, 13,000 miles on it and slightly used for a great price. We really could not pass that opportunity. We mainly wanted more room so that the kids could be more comfortable and so that we could have more passenger room for family. This dealership really worked with us and offered us great comfortable monthly payments and its a great car it looks brandnew. It still has 2 yrs left of factory warranty and it runs like a new car. So we finally where able to replace our old car which was 20plus years old, it was actually my car from when i was in High school. So if any one is interested, we are selling it for less than $1,000 dollars.

New Moon Poster

I got this picture from a friend in facebook and I think it looks cool. It seems that this will be the poster for the movie coming out in the fall. ENJOY!!!!

Done with Swimming!

Today was the last swimming lesson. The kids did great, although Braden is still alittle hesitant about certain aspects of swimming. Like for example they would take them all to the deep end holding on to the edge and they would get out of the water and jump in, he wouldn't do it alone, and when he floats on his back, he would get very tense and would not relax. Kaylee in the other hand is a fish, I call her my mermaid. She did excellent and is not afraid at all of what she needed to do. So I received their report cards and Braden is passing to Level 2a and Kaylee to Level 2b. After the lesson they played in the waterpark for about 10 minutes and had tons of fun. Braden would not go down the slide, the teacher had to go with him the first time and then he went down on his own once. Then it was time to go and he started crying because he was too afraid to play in the water. Hopefully next time around he will be less afraid and have more fun.

Masterbedroom Remodeled

It has been almost 9 yrs. since we live in this house and we had never taken the time to paint or to really decorate our bedroom. We always focused on the kids rooms but not ours. So yesterday we painted our room, it looks great. I love the colors we chose. We still need to decorate the walls and hang some pictures ect... But overall the change has been very positive, we cleaned out alot of stuff that we had that do not use and it smells like clean and free of dust. I will post more pictures once the decorations are in place. I still need to see what else I want to add to it. the kids also needed to help, Jorge let them paint and write their names on the wall. Th
ey had alot of fun doing that.

Swimming Lessons

I enrolled Kaylee and Braden in swimming lessons at the Clearfield Aquatic Center. They both started on Monday and they are doing great. They both love the water and the fact that they have something to do and are not stuck at home bored to death. today Braden was a little hesitant in putting his head in the water cause yesterday he swallowed some water and so today he didn't want to do it. Hopefully tomorrow he will do better in that regard. I'am glad I decided to do this because it is so important for little kids to learn how to swim and know water safety, that way I can feel more at ease when we go swimming this summer.
