Radio Disney Day

Yesterday I took my kids to the Gallivan Center for a Radio Disney water fight party. They had water games, bouncy house, train rides, carnival games, even creamy popsicle all for free!! They were giving away Jonas Brothers concert tickets for the stadium of fire concert and seven peaks resort tickets. We entered in the drawing but unfortunatly didn't win. The Disney Dancers where dancing with the kids and playing different types of games. Kaylee specially loved the dancers, and the music. She was first in line the stage watching them perform. She even played a game where they would play a Jonas Brothers song and they would stop the song and whoever knew the next line would win a prize. I had to explain to her how the game worked and as soon as they played the song and they stopped it, there she was with her arm raised up high and they picked her and she sang the rest of the line, she did a great job and won a jonas Brothers necklace. I even got teary eyed because she is not shy and loves to sing and dance. Anyway it was a fun time, my mom came with us and then we went to the Gateway to have some lunch and headed home. It was a fun activity.

Oquirrh Mountain Temple

We went to the Oquirrh Mountain Temple Open HOuse on Saturday, June 20th. We've been wanting to take the kids to the temple so that they can also experience the inside of the temple and see for themselves the beaty and meaning of the temple. Eventhought they are too little to understand they still can feel the spirit and learn a basic meaning of what the temple is and its purpose. We didn't take pictures because the weather was not permitting it. But we had a great time. Jorge actually arranged all the Art work in this temple so he had been in it several times before the temple opened up to the public, he was able to tell us about each painting and some paintings that will be removed before the dedication to replace with other ones because some people didn't like them for some reason or other. People like the temple designers. All in all it was a great experience that we shared with the kids.

Our Anniversary Trip

We had a great time in Las Vegas. We just wanted to relax and forget about work, problems ect... and just enjoy ourselves. And I can say that we did just that. I specially didn't need to clean, fix dinner or do laundry. It was great. Jorge in the other hand didn't have to worry about work, eventhough he called once to his office to make sure everything was going fine with the person that was covering for him at work. We visited several hotels, casinos that we had never been before. We went to malls and shopped, ate great food at The Village Buffet inside the Paris hotel (they have one of the best buffets in Vegas, or so I heard). The next day we ate breakfast at The Miracle Mile Shops inside Planet Hollywood Hotel. This is a new hotel next to the Paris hotel and it has a mile long of shops and restaurants. We loved this mall and we ate lunch in there also at Earls Sandwich shop. The sandwiches where so goooood! We walked down to MGM hotel and went inside the M&M store we then took the bus back to our hotel and went to the pool for awhile. We then ate dinner at The Provencal inside our hotel Paris. They had great food and the best french fries ever. We even got serenaded by one of the waitresses that started singing one of the songs of The Phantom of the Opera. She had a great voice. The night was young after dinner so we walked into the Bellagio Hotel, had never been there before and they had the most amazing gardens with the coolest fountains. We also visited the Palazzo, Venetian, Mirage, Ballys. I even got one of those frozen drinks that they have that are supposed to have alcohol in them, well I got a Pina Colada one without the alcohol ofcourse and it was very refreshing and good. All in all we had a great time and eventhough we didn't go to any shows we had fun being with each other and just sightseeing.

Our 10th anniversary

On June 18, 1999 I married the love of my life. I was the one that called Jorge to ask him out on our first date. I can say now that I made a pretty nice move because these 10 yrs have been the happiest for us. We have had our share of trials but together we have been able to overcome them. I am so blessed to have such a great guy as my husband. He is loving, caring, helper, provider, student, father and a priesthood holder. He loves the gospel and our saviour JesusChrist. He loves us so much.

He planned a trip for both of us to celebrate our 10th anniversary. I am so grateful for him and for the love he has for me. Thank you honey for all that you do and I love you very much. I am so happy to be your wife and specially your eternal companion.

Fun family Activities

This weekend was an eventful and scary one at the same time. On Friday morning my dad had an emergency angiogram. He has been having chest pains for the last couple of months but wasn't too worried about it until he had a scheduled stress test on Wed. and the Dr. told him that he has to have this procedure to see what is really going on with his heart. They found that his coronary artery was very thin and almost blocked all the way, so they put in a balloon and stent to open it up again. The Dr. said that he was so close to having a heart attack and that he was glad that it was prevented. I know that we have been very blessed with his health. It could have been much worse.

Friday evening we took the kids to Sparetime Fun Center and we went bowling. The kids had never been bowling exept play it on the Wii. They loved it and did great. They even danced to the music they had playing at this place.

Saturday we went to the Hill Air Force Base Air Show. It was awesome to see all the airplanes up close and be able to even go inside some of them. Kaylee and Braden where amazed at the size of the planes. It was packed, I am guessing there were around 20,000 people or more. We had to walk alot to get to were the shows where but it was so worth it. We had a great time. It was a great experience we had never been to one before.

Tumbling

Here is Kaylee in the Gray shirt and Black pants

I enrolled Kaylee in a Tumbling class with Syracuse City Community center. Its a class that only lasts for 6 weeks but she has liked it alot so far. Yesterday was her 3rd class and she loves it. I took some pictures of her during the class.

Our Memorial Day

On Memorial day we did several things. Jorge is way into "Band of Brothers" and everything that has to do with this country, Vietnam war and any war that the USA has fought at. So he wanted all of us to go to the Hill air base museum and participate in a program where they were putting a war veteran into their Hall of Fame wall. It was very interesting and he was so happy to take part of something like this. Eventhough jorge was not born here he has such respect for the History that his country has, for the patriotism and love and care for the war veterans. He says that if he was younger he would've enlisted in the army or marines. After that we went to the graveside of our baby Brianna and took flowers. We then shopped and had lunch and went home to do some yardwork and in the evening we BBQ'd. It was a very nice day full of history and memorandum for our fallen soldiers.
