Spring Break 2013

For Spring Break we went a couple of days to Logan, Utah. We just had a relaxing time with the kids. We went to the Movies, went to the pool, had Aggie Ice Cream, went to the Cache Valley fun center to play bowling and arcades. We just had a good time together as a family.

It's been way too long....

Yes way too long because its been since Halloween that I don't write on this blog. A lot of things have happened since then. Here we go: We had Thanksgiving over in our home this year. We had Christmas Eve dinner at my sister's house and Christmas Day breakfast in our home (its a tradition that we always host the Christmas morning breakfast). New Year's was hosted by my mom and dad. We spend the whole night eating, and playing Just Dance 4. It was a great way to spend New Year's. But in between all the partying we de-cluttered our home, moved things to the basement (since its finished now we can rearrange things better). We finished installing surround system speakers, new TV, Blu ray player in our family room downstairs. We moved furniture to the basement and bought a new couch for our upstairs sitting area (our upstairs "family Room" has become a "Sitting area", it is much nicer not to have the TV there anymore). So a lot of cleaning and rearranging. What better way to start the New Year. We are still in the process of finishing the bathroom in the basement. We only need to put up the tile, shower door and it will be done. My dad had some health issues so he has not been able to come help us finish the shower. Now that he is better we hope to resume the work and get it done. Our house is so much spacious and not so crowded anymore.
On a lighter note, I was released from my calling as the Activities Coordinator in Relief Society and was called as a second counselor in the Young Women Presidency. I am super excited for this calling however it is sooo much work. I will put up pictures soon of our Holidays and the basement.

Halloween 2012

 

This year Halloween fell on a wednesday, righ in the middle of the week. It was a busy day for me. Braden had a filedtrip to Black Island Farms and his class Hslloween party. I was able to volunteer on both things. We had a lot of fun. Kaylee also had a Halloween Party in her class. This year Braden wanted to be a Mustard Bottle and Kaylee liked a cute girl ref costume.

This year like every year we go to J & J Nursery for a Hay Ride. We have adopted this as our Fall Tradition. This year the Hay Ride was very long and enjoyable in the fall crisp air. We chose very nice large pumpkins.

1st DAY OF SCHOOL!!!

 

Today is the 1 st day of school for us. Kaylee is now in 3rd grade and Braden is in 2nd grade. They were excited for school to start.

Summer!!!

I has been awhile since I haven't posted anything on my blog!! This will be a lengthy post for all of you. We've had a nice relaxing summer. We've been to the pool a couple of times, the kids have played alot with their friends, we had a family vacation to St George, we had birthday parties and gone to the fair.

So we went to the Davis County Fair this year. We usually go every year. This year they had a cute little band that plays oldies songs (Beach boys, Beatles). We got to watch their little concert at the fair. They really played very well and we enjoyed ourselves. The kids got to pet some animals, ride ponies, touch sting rays and got to hold and touch snakes and tarantulas. YIKES!!! they had an awesome time doing that with Jorge.

 Braden loves, loves, loves cars. He can tell you the make model of cars. He loves this car which is the Dodge Challenger!! He wanted a picture with the car.

We had some birthdays in August and September!! It was my Mother in law's birthday on August and we took them to lunch and then we had cake and ice cream at home.

So I took Kaylee in to the Orthodontist the other day and she is going to need a Palate Expander because she has a cross bite and her teeth on her right side are not alighning with her bottom teeth when she bites down. She will also need some braces on the upper teeth after the expander does its job. Here are the spacers she is wearing to make room for the expander.

We had Kaylee's 9th birthday party on Sunday!! But she wanted to do something with her friends. I decided to take them to the Spa for some facials, foot and hand massages and pedicures. They had a relaxing time doing this and loved it. Then I took them to The Sweettoothfairy (which is a cute cupcake shop in layton) for some cupcakes.
We then had a family birthday party. We had some dinner (arepas with chicken and potatoe salad) and cake and ice cream! She got lots of more clothes for school, a new bike from jorge and I and a Rocky Shake it up VIP doll from her brother Braden.

This summer we also helped my parents with their yard. They bought a new house about 1 year ago and they are wanting to finish their yard with a Sprinkler syster and grass.
