Braden is 7

Braden turned 7 yrs old on May 19. I took him and kaylee to Classic Fun Center on Friday May 18th. They each got to invite one friend to celebrate Braden's birthday. Then on May 19 we had a family birthday party. We made some sub sandwiches for the family and I made a Tres Leches cake for the birthday boy (Tres Leches cake is his favorite). I happen to find a great recipe for tres leches, its very easy and soooo good. Later that day his Grandma Denise made him his favorite dinner which consisted of Lentil soup (venezuelan style) and meat empanadas.

Firestation Field Trip

Kaylee's class went on a fieldtrip to the Syracuse Fire Station. We walked to and from the station. I was able to go with her class and be a parent volunteer. I had fun talking to the kids while walking to and from the station. It was cool to see the station inside and see the ambulances, fire engines ect...

Zoo Fieldtrip

Every year the First graders go to the Hogle Zoo on a fieldtrp. Last year kaylee got to go but I wasn't able to go with her. I made sure that this year I went with Braden. We had alot of fun. Since I was helping with the class I had 4 kids in my care through the whole Zoo. We went to see all the animals and ate lunch together. It was a nice,hot, humid day.

Before school gets out....

Before school gets out I want to share some pictures of Braden's cardboard box car that he help jorge make for school. All first graders had to make a car so that they could drive it around a racecar track and learn about safety rules. He loved the activity. They made an awesome car together.
