Stuck in the Muck

The other day the kids ask me if they could play with water in the backyard and make a river so that they could float some boats that they have. I agreed and they went off to play with water. Little did I know what they had planned. They both wore their snow boots and started getting in the mud and jumping in and splashing everywhere. When I came out to check on them I discovered what they were doing and got alittle upset at first. Then I just said, okay play all you want and then you will need to get in the tub to clean you off. So I decide that I needed to take some pictures of this.

Minor Accident

On Wednesday I went out with the kids in the evening to visit my parents but they were not home so I decided to go the store. The reason being was that we had been all day at home because Braden has been sick, so I needed a break from the house and the kids too. Jorge had gone to a friends house to practice some guitar so I was alone with the kids. We arrived at the store and after looking at some stuff we headed out, got inside our car and I started to move forward and turned to the left when I hit a pole that I did not see at all. I know that I checked to see if cars where coming, no cars where coming so I started moving and hit the yellow pole with a handicap sign on it. Now the driver side door is dented and has yellow paint on it. I took the car to the Insurance to do an estimate and to the body shop, the total cost is 2,280 but I will only pay the deductible. It will take 1 week to complete the repairs because they will need to replace the whole door and repaint that side of the car. I know these things happen but it is still frustrating. Now I can say that our Insurance company is very nice and fast with their claims process. Here are some pictures that I took of the damage.

Days of 47 at The Heritage Village

Kids with my friend wendy's daughter

Friday we went to The Heritage Village at the This is the place Monument in Salt Lake city and spend most of the day there. Since Jorge was getting of work at 12pm we decided to ride the Frontrunner and he picked us up at he grand central station and then we drove to the park. It was Family Day which included free admission to the Pioneer Village, crafts, pony rides, train rides, and tons of fun. We arrived around 1pm and left when the place closed at 5pm. The kids also played in some inflatable toys that they also had. Braden rode on a horse and was so excited to do that while kaylee said no to the pony ride. This place is much bigger now and has tons of more pioneer style homes to visit. We had a great family day and after we left we went to have a great hearty supper after all that walking.

4th of July 2009

This 4th of July we took it easy. We slept in and went to our friends house The Gonzalez family and had some lunch and did some cool fireworks. After that we went to the Layton City Festivities and bought some traditional carnival food like Cotton Candy, Sno Cones, Kettle corn (which I love) and some pork on a stick. The kids also played on the games that they had for little kids and had a great time. We were their for a short time and then headed home to start getting ready for a family BBQ with fireworks and the end. We had a great time with our family.

Now on a more patriotic note. We are so blessed to live in this "Land of the Free". With so many different things going around the world now days we are still able to live freely, to be members of our church, to have freedom of speech, to work and provide for our families, to still be able to have a home with all the necessities, to have food, and do anything that we would like to do. I hope and pray that our children can have the same things we have now, I pray that our government can really take notice of the well being of humankind and not just do things because it will get them more popularity. I am blessed to be born a US citizen to have a husband that loves this country just as much as someone born and raise a US citizen. I marvel at the love he has for this countries history and the knowledge that he has.

South Ogden Splash Park

Today our Mom and Tots group had a fieldtrip to go to the Splash park. I had never been to this place in ogden. It was very fun and entertaining for the kids. They have 2 regular parks with slides, climbing walls, monkey bars ect.. and then the spash park and the opposite side with alot of splashing toys for the kids to run through and get wet. My kids had a great time. When it was time to go home they didn't want to. This will definately be an activity that we will do again.
