We sang songs and they had 4 rooms with different games and activities for the kids, it was type carnival and all the kids were dressed in their costumes. Lazy Weekend!

This weekend was kind of lazy and not busy. Friday night we asked Jorge's mom if she could babysit the kids so that we could go out to dinner, she agreed and we went to one of our favorite places, Mimi's Cafe. We enjoyed a quiet dinner without kids and then headed home so that we could put the kids to bed and watch a movie. One of Jorge's friends from work let him borrow Iron Man. It turned out to be a pretty good movie. Saturday we slept in a little bit and took kaylee to a birthday party that she had, we decided to go grocery shopping with just Braden while kaylee was in the party and that turned out to be a good idea because Braden behaved very well. We then picked up kaylee and headed to finish our grocery shopping at sam's club. After we were done we were pretty hungry and decided to eat chinese for lunch. The kids get excited when we go out for chinese food because they love it. Then we stayed home the rest of the day. Jorge has been fighting cold/flu symptoms and I have been fighting a head cold. So we stayed home the rest of the day, cooked some dinner and watched homevideos from our vacation to disney this past summer with the kids.

Black Island Farms

Today as a Toddler time activity we went to Black Island Farms. They have one of the biggest cornmazes in the state and they also offer hayrides and animals, park with big hay slides an animal train ect... So we arrived at 10 am (and bytheway this place is a block away from our house) very convenient this time of year. We started by going to the park and have the kids play while it was our turn for the hayride. We had the hayride and got to chose a pumpkin each. And then the kids wanted to keep on playing in the slides and park so we got our lunch, ate lunch and kept on plaing till almost 1pm. I'am so tired. We walked alot and I even went down these big slide with the kids. They had a blast.

Trunk or Treat

On saturday our ward had a Trunk or Treat, were each person parks their car and opens their trunk, decorates it and the kids walk by to get candy. It was a great turn out, with so many kids in our ward it turned out great. The kids got tons of candy and they enjoyed it alot. Kaylee was dressed as Gabriella and Braden as Spiderman.

Park City weekend

On Friday the 17th the Young Women and leaders of our ward went to a retreat for the weekend. We stayed in Mountainside resort in Park city. The YW president has a timeshare and we stayed for 1 day for free. It was a good relaxing 1 night stay without the stress of kids. Eventhough it was relaxing I couldn't sleep well because the girls were up till 3am talking and laughing and I could hear everything. But it was a great bonding activity.

Our first Missionary!

Today at church was the farewell of one of our wards young men. J.J Pullum was called to serve in the Little Rock, Arkansa mission. And today he spoke in Sacrament and his family was kind enough to have an open house in his honor at their home. His dad Bishop Pullum was just realesed as our bishop about 3 weeks ago. So this is a really special family to us and to our ward. They are our cross the street neighbors and we have seen their family grow in number through the years and have seen their kids grow as well in the church. They are a great example to us and they are a great family.. He will be a great missionary and he will be missed and we will anxiously wait for his homecoming in 2 yrs.

Slideshow of hayride and Daniela's Baptism

Today as you all can see was a very eventful day for our family. We did a hayride and then later in the afternoon we attended the Baptism of my niece Daniela Lopez. All of the family members came and we had a quaint experience. It was so emotional to see my youngest niece be baptised. And the children songs that they chose were so appropriate and so perfect to bring the spirit into this small and beautiful baptism. I'am so happy that she made this decision to be baptised and to choose the right path that will lead her to happiness if she always maintains faithful to this our gospel. She looked so pretty in her new white dress. After the baptism we all went to eat dinner together as a family.

Fun and Rainy Hayride

Today we went to J&J nursery. This is a place in Layton city where they sell flowers, shrubs, trees ect.. This is actually the place to go for your yard needs. Anyways they are offering free hayrides to their pumpkin patch and today we took the kids. We had never been on a hayride. It was actually fun. The day was cold and rainy, but we still went. We bundled the kids very well and took an umbrella and off we went. After the ride we were given some chuck E. Cheeses free token vouchers. I guess it was worth the ride after all. For you that do not live around here. They recently opened a Chuch E Cheeses in Layton and that's the talk of the town. Anyway it was a fun activity to do today as a family. I'am glad we were able to do it. With Jorge going to school and being so busy during the week we are not able to do alot of things together that frequently.

4th and 4th

My friend Susan gave me this idea from her blog. She said to open your picture folder and choose the 4th folder and then choose the 4th picture on that folder. This is the picture I chose. This cute little girl is Nadia she is the daughter of my friend Ariana Uminsky. This was back in July when we all went to have some lunch in Artic Circle and it was actually the last time we would be able to do this with Ariana and her kids because they were moving that weekend to Idaho. So this is a great picture because it was our last playdate with the kids. We do miss them alot. I hope someday soon we can go visit them up in Rigby, Idaho.

At the Layton Park

On Friday, my good friend Kim invited me and the kids for a play at the park, picnic. We first stopped at the Hostess bread store to buy a bag full of bread for a $1.00. If you tell them its to be used to feed the ducks they sell you the bread for $1.00 (what a deal). We arrived at the park and went over to where the ducks are and proceeded to feed them and they all just came over like starving children. It was fun for me but for the kids not so much as they were too afraid to get close to feed them. We decided to go over to the playground area a eat lunch and have the kids play for awhile. We were able to talk and watch the kids play. After we did all that we went over to the ducks, to an area that has a small fence and there the kids were more at ease and fed the ducks all the 6 loafs that were purchased. The weather was very nice and cool enough that you didn't sweat but warm enough to have a good time.

General Conference Weekend

On saturday early in the morning Jorge, Denise (my mother in law), and myself went to General Conference. We arrived with plenty of time to sit and relax and look at the people coming and going in the Conference center. It literally looked like and airport. We went inside and reserved our seats and I went outside to wait for Jorge, because he left me and my mother in law infront of the conference center to park the car. Finally he arrived at the door and we went inside within minutes of starting. We stood up as President Monson and his counselors walked in. The spirit was so strong as the 1st session of conference started. Pres. Monson was presiding and he was the first speaker and he announced the 5 new temples that will start construction in the next year. Canada, Argentina, Philadelphia, Kansas, and Italy. The spirit was felt so strong when he made this announcement that I was teary eyed. The speakers and the messages shared where awesome. I'am so glad and grateful that my sister was willing to babysit my kids so that we could go and enjoy the conference and be feed spiritually.

Right now all the ladies from my family are spending time together in my house while the men are in priesthood conference. We are eating Pizza, yummy muffins and just talking and having a good time.

Treehouse Children Museum

Yesterday I had the opportunity to take Kaylee and Braden to the "Treehouse Children Museum". It had been awhile since our last visit. Last year we had memberships and where constatly going and the kids got bored of the place. So when the membership expired in the beginning of this year we stopped going. So yesterday they had a blast, they played for about 2 hours and did not want to leave when it was time to have some lunch. My mother in law and myself were starving and they wanted to continue playing. We left and went to have some well deserved lunch, they kids were starving and they ate all their food.
