Braden's Baptism and Lunch

Braden was baptized this year. He was baptized on June 2nd, 2013. It was such a special day for him and for our family. He has been waiting for this day forever.

Rice Babies

In Braden's class they made Rice Babies with the help of volunteer parents last Friday. He got to bring his baby home today from school. The babies turned out very cute.

The Scouts!!

Braden has been patiently waiting for the moment that he will be able to attend Scouts. He was so excited when Sis. Semrow came to welcome him into the Wolf Den. He got his shirt from his cousin Jorge who was nice enough to let him use his and we got him his book, belt and badges for the shirt. He is super excited to go to scouts every week and to attend the Pack meetings. This last week he earned the Volleyball belt loop and the Bobcat badge. We are so proud of him.

Living Planet Aquarium

I went with kaylee's class to The Living Planet Aquarium last week. I was the chaperone of 5 kids including kaylee. We went all over the Aquarium seeing all of the exhibits. Towards the end we went into a presentation about the Ocean Tide. They explained to the kids about the Low tide and the High tide and why this happens. It was really interesting. We had lots of fun.

The Big 8!!

Braden had a Birthday on May 19th. This year he wanted a friend party. He wanted a Ninja party. He invited several of his friends from school and church. They had pizza, cupcakes and played with swords killing bad ninjas also they watched Kung Fu Panda. They all had a great time celebrating his birthday.

 

Spring Break 2013

For Spring Break we went a couple of days to Logan, Utah. We just had a relaxing time with the kids. We went to the Movies, went to the pool, had Aggie Ice Cream, went to the Cache Valley fun center to play bowling and arcades. We just had a good time together as a family.

It's been way too long....

Yes way too long because its been since Halloween that I don't write on this blog. A lot of things have happened since then. Here we go: We had Thanksgiving over in our home this year. We had Christmas Eve dinner at my sister's house and Christmas Day breakfast in our home (its a tradition that we always host the Christmas morning breakfast). New Year's was hosted by my mom and dad. We spend the whole night eating, and playing Just Dance 4. It was a great way to spend New Year's. But in between all the partying we de-cluttered our home, moved things to the basement (since its finished now we can rearrange things better). We finished installing surround system speakers, new TV, Blu ray player in our family room downstairs. We moved furniture to the basement and bought a new couch for our upstairs sitting area (our upstairs "family Room" has become a "Sitting area", it is much nicer not to have the TV there anymore). So a lot of cleaning and rearranging. What better way to start the New Year. We are still in the process of finishing the bathroom in the basement. We only need to put up the tile, shower door and it will be done. My dad had some health issues so he has not been able to come help us finish the shower. Now that he is better we hope to resume the work and get it done. Our house is so much spacious and not so crowded anymore.
On a lighter note, I was released from my calling as the Activities Coordinator in Relief Society and was called as a second counselor in the Young Women Presidency. I am super excited for this calling however it is sooo much work. I will put up pictures soon of our Holidays and the basement.
