Ward Campout 2008

This weekend we went camping with our ward. Our stake has a property in Morgan, UT which is about 45 minutes away from our house. It is really pretty and close enough from our house and faraway enough that if feels like camping. We got there about 5pm on Friday and setup our tent and our things and then had dinner. We later had a devotional by our bishop and went back to our camp to start a fire and to talk to our friends and family (my sister went with her family and so we had a fun time talking and telling jokes). Kaylee wasn't feeling well and she went to bed around 9:30pm. Braden had so much fun he ran around our tent in the dark and loved it, he roasted marshmallows and played with the flashlight a lot. Over all we had a blast with the kids. We slept well and woke up the next morning to eat a dutch oven breakfast provided by our ward and then decided to clean up our stuff to leave early. We headed out around 10:30am and arrived home to shower and do laundry (our clothes and everything else stunk of smoke). And then we went out to lunch with my mom, dad, and my sisters family and then went down to the Gateway.

Well, it looks like you all had a wonderful time. Kim and I really wish we could have been there, but Kim is about to pop and aftet last weekend, it was better if we stuck around. Nothing new happening, except we know we are less the 3 weeks from having a new baby boy. When our boy gets older, we will have to go camping with you. We love to camp and I love to Dutch Oven Cook, so maybe sometime next year. By the way, update coming tonight. I have been battleing a cold all day yesterday and still am today, but feel much better. So, have that popcorn ready because it will be a long one.

- Sounds like the kids had a blast!! - We have been thinking about investing in a tent - Where did you guys get yours? Camping can provide many great memories! What a great ward activity!
