This week I went to Girls Camp. We left Thursday morning and came back Saturday late morning. We went to a campsite up Logan Canyon by the name of Guenavah. It was a beautiful camp with breathtaking scenery's. When we arrived Thursday we couldn't be in our campsite till 2:30pm so we had planned to do our Hike. We went to Tony's Grove up Logan Canyon and we did roughly 4 miles. Some of the girls complained but it was so pretty that we all forgot and kept on going. It took us about 4 hours to go up and down the trail. After the hike Jeanie the camp director took all of us to eat ice cream at Aggie Ice Cream in the Utah State Campus. And then we headed up the canyon again to set up our tents. The second day we made a craft of Bead Bracelets. We had fun making these bracelets. However the leaders became a little too obsessed making these that we ended up with about 4-6 bracelets each. Each time the girls came over to see what we were doing they would say "You've got to be kidding me?" That night we had the Bishop and his wife come and the 1st counselor and our young women's 1st counselor came up with her husband and cooked a yummy dutch oven dinner of Enchiladas, peach cobbler and Black Forest cake. It was so good. After dinner we had the Testimony meeting and we all bore our testimonies and cried and felt uplifted by the Holy Ghost. It was such a nice experience to bond with the girls and the leaders. We have such a good group of girls that I'm so proud of them and I love them even more now.

Yad! - If you can, get those dutch oven recipes!!- that sounds SO good! (I am not so great at Dutch Oven) but it sounds like it was a wonderful camp -- I have to choose our site next year, and that location (Logan) sounds wonderful - We'll have to check it out! It sounds like you are loving the YW of your ward and doing well in your Calling!
Yadira, thanks for the advice on my blog. We really treasure your family's friendship.
What a great experience! and it is so different to see it from the side as a leader. I don't know about you but I felt like teenager at girls camp. Does that make me sound old?
